Mary Dove_Tracks in Desert Sand

This is a happy painting that brightens

the room where it is displayed.

A warm painting sharing the signs of desert life

we are not there to experience.

The sweet unexpected desert flowers are seen

from a different point of view

allow us to imagine the small creatures

that passed through our frame of vision unseen.

Paula Potter, Sedona Master Gardner and Photographer provided

the reference photograph from one of her desert hikes. Enjoy.

Gold & Black Floater frame

Framed Image: 36” x 24” Oil Painting

on Wrapped Stretched Canvas.

During the underpainting stage,

desert sand was added to the wet oils

creating the visual texture of desert sand.
